McCrory Family Year in Review

For those of you whom I could not send Christmas cards to, because let's face it, postage is pricey, here is my e-version of our Christmas card! I've gotten some really really sweet feedback from some of you who got one, and I wanted to say that it made me feel so good! I'm one of those people who's love language is words of affirmation (just ask duke) and so your kind words were really appreciated. A few have asked where I got them. I made them myself, however I completely ripped the idea off. So I can't get any credit for the idea. In fact I was so unoriginal, I pretty much stole the complete card layout and filled in my own info. I got the idea from Pinterest last year, originally from Amanda Jane Jones, graphic designer extraordinaire. Next year I plan to be more original, but she just nailed it the first time. Plus it was a lot cheaper to make them myself and I actually really really enjoyed doing it. So I hope I didn't cross over any copyright infringement laws. whoopsies if I did!

I'm also really LOVING all the cards we have gotten. I look forward to checking the mail everyday in hopes of a new one in there! So fun getting real mail from friends and family. So thanks to those who sent one. Merry Christmas!


PS. when you look at my blog on your computer, do you have to scroll to see the whole arrow in the header?? My sister told me that, and I'm wondering if it's the same on anyone else computer????

I just spent a lot of time looking through some of the photos on my computer. Every time I come across pictures of baby Winston my heart melts. Here's some pictures I don't think I posted before (probably for good reason..ignore the fact that I'm just waking up in the first two?). Don't you just want to eat him up?!?!? I die.

Remember this post? The weird blind date where I played a joke on that guy? Well I don't know if you've been watching the Sing-Off, but if you are, he's in the group from BYU Vocal Point. My old boss told me he was on there so I started watching. They just got voted off this week but they did pretty good. Anyways, the guys i circled the guy who it was. So know you can put a face with the story. oh good times.

Friends

After three weeks I still think marriage is pretty great. I love it. One of the best things about weddings is that it brings all the important people in your life together. I've been really REALLY blessed in my life to have such good friends. I really am so grateful for those of you who were able to come to my wedding! It was sooo much fun seeing everyone and I wish I had more time to spend together with everyone. I already miss all of my deary's! I know that once you're married you tend to make more "couple friends" and I'm looking forward to new friendships, but I want to keep all the old ones forever!!! In fact, I'm glad I didn't get married too young, so that I was able to meet all of these awesome peeps. Here's some pictures of some of my little friendies taken recently.

Then my awesome sister Brittany threw me an awesome bridal shower at The Chocolate in Provo..aka The most adorable and delicious place on earth (Also the same place I got my wedding cake from).

Happy Mother's Day

I'm soooo grateful for my wonderful beautiful mom!!!! Everyone says I'm just like my mom so obviously she's pretty great. I'll always be thankful for the million times I locked myself out of the car and she drove to come unlock at school and beaver lake (1hour round trip for her) and for bringing all my homework assignments and books to school I had left at home.  THANK YOU!!!!!

Story of my life. 

In 9th-12th grade my friends and I kept a quote book that I recovered from the attic recently. I found a quote from my lovely self in a conversation with brittany and stacy:

the xanga years

Who remembers Xanga? Well back in 2003-2005 I had one, and today I rediscovered it. It's still out there in the internet cyber-world. I was reading a few of my entries and I had some good laughs. Here's a pretty great post from April 3, 2004, when i was 17--a junior in h.s.:

high school is so freakin stupid. like seriously. stupid. actually its not high school thats stupid. its teenagers. yep. thats what it is. teenagers and their raging horomones. right now, people are mad at each other, and at me. and i think they think im mad at them. but the thing is im not. im honestly just confused. bc i don't understand, why we're mad at each other. i didn't do anything. I just wish we could remember that we're friends and have fun. i mean its such a waste of time to be mad at people. you could either be mad or be happy. i mean espeacially when you know it'll be over in a couple days. but just for the record.......i was never mad at anyone, im still not mad at anyone. lets just all be friends.....please!!

Here's one more from May 8, 2004:

ya so...last night kinda sucked. im mad. i was going to go to this party. i've been planning on it since wednesday. well, i don't even know exactally what happened, i just know that i didn't go. it was down in fayetteville and i was really tired, and i don't know, i just decided not to go this time. but i really did want to go. after work i couldn't decided if i wanted to go or not, and so i went to barnes and noble for a 1/2 hour to try and decide what i should do, and by then it was 11, and i decided that i should probably just go home. ARG. now im kinda mad at myself but oh well. oh yea and FYI--its barnes and noble not barnes and nobleS, mmk, no 'S'. thats one of my pet peeves, when people say it wrong. anyways so i came home and found out my mom had took it upon herself to block mtv, mtv2 and vh1, which are like the only channels i watch. anyways, so me and tyler and taylor tried for like 20 mins to figure out the password, but with no luck. but since my mom is a brilliant person, i went downstairs and found out that she hadn't blocked it down there, so im good. :) anyways im gonna go do something now.....
