Okinawa is hotter than Hades in the grand ol' summer months. So the best weekend options always involve water. So back in the middle of July (when we actually had a weekend together), Duke and I drove about an hour away to Miyagi Island (the same place we went camping back in Feb) and had a lovely beach day. It was super nice bc there was only a couple other people there. They eventually left and we had the whole place to ourselves. So nice!
The waters over here were completed infested with little brown jellyfish, but we found out the brown ones don't sting! Well, supposedly. We didn't really want to find out, so we stayed strictly on our floaties.

There was also about 1 million hermit crabs running around as you can see above.
Love this pretty little island!
