Kamikochi

Kamikochi is part of the ChÅ«bu-Sangaku National Park in the Japan Alps. It's a cool little place. There are no cars allowed so you have to ride a bus in. It's also only accessible from mid April-mid November due to snow. It's so gorgeous--mountain scenery with a river running through it and a lake at the end. My pictures do this place zero justice. We spent a day hiking around the valley and I felt like that was all you needed unless you plan on scaling any of the mountains. It was pretty crowded when we went, but still totally enjoyable. I read that the autumn foliage is amazing here too, as I'm sure you can imagine. And now for the photo dump!

Such a refreshing trip in the mountains!
